Acne, also known as pimples, is a prevalent skin condition resulting from the blockage of hair follicles by dead skin cells and oil. It commonly affects individuals of all ages, with teenagers being the most susceptible. Symptoms of acne encompass pus-filled pimples, non-inflamed blackheads, as well as red, large, and tender bumps. Treatment options for acne involve the use of specific creams, cleansers, and antibiotics.
Clinex Plus Gel is a combination of the lincosamide antibiotic Clindamycin phosphate and the retinoid Tretinoin. Clindamycin operates by binding to the 50s ribosomal subunit of susceptible bacteria, hindering the elongation of the peptide chain and suppressing bacterial protein synthesis. This action inhibits the activity of Propionibacterium acne, reducing the occurrence of acne. Tretinoin, on the other hand, decreases the cohesiveness of follicular epithelial cells and enhances turnover, helping to bring comedones to the surface. The synergistic effect of these components makes Clinex Plus Gel effective in treating acne.
Wash your hands before and after applying Clinex Plus Gel. Apply Clinex Plus Gel onto the affected area as advised by the doctor. In case Clinex Plus Gel comes in contact with the eyes accidentally, rinse with water thoroughly.
